I am enjoying your information rich website and well written articles on fractional ownership. I too agree that this arena of ownership will continue to grow and offer many advantages to buyers who are looking for a luxury resort vacation home.
We own several luxury homes that are vacation rentals and we are going to offer a few of them for fractional purchase, with the anticipation for growth. Many municipalities are very vague when it comes to addressing fractional ownership and there are often conflicting options within the municipalities. Many in zoning default to the timeshare rules (which tend to be vague also) which are often located in commercial zones and not residential. While I see distinct differences in the Fractional vs. Timeshare, many in our City Governments don’t share my views. I see some challenges as this model grows in popularity.
